Where are you Christmas?

There is a song by Faith Hill with this title I've been listening to alot. I though I'd share the lyrics with you all now. I'll put up a full blog in a few hours.

Where are you Christmas?
Why can't I find you?
Why have you gone away?
Where is the laughter,
you used to bring me?
Why can't I hear music play?
My world is changing
I'm rearranging
Does that mean Christmas changes too?
Where are you Christmas?
Do you remember,
the one you used to know?
I'm not the same one
See what the time's done
Is that why you have let me go?
Christmas is here
everywhere
Christmas is here
if you care
If there is love in your heart and your mind
you will feel like Christmas all the time
I feel you Christmas
I know I found you
you never fade away
the joy of Christmas stays here inside us
Fills each and every heart with love
Where are you Christmas?
Fill your heart with love.

Hello Jes! I have never heard this song, but I'm going to look it up on playlist in just a few minutes and listen to it (hopefully) ... I've been reading and re-reading the Christmas story in Isaiah, Matthew,Luke and Hebrews these past few weeks and I have heard that Christmas is about "God's tender mercy", about Jesus being "the light from heaven", about angels announcing the end to ALL fear and "GREAT JOY to all people". There is so much beauty to this message, but to me it is simply JESUS and all that He is ... and I never get tired of hearing about Him. What a great story Christmas is ... but yes, it is LOVE -- the greatest love there ever was ...

I'll tell you another thing, soldier son. You are loved. Your picture is here beside this computer. I still can't believe you aren't here with us this Christmas and there is an ache way deep inside because of it ... but I'm not afraid for you or for us ... I am lifting you up to the very capable and loving hands of the Lord, and I trust Him for whatever our future brings. So much love to you, Jesse.

Hi Jess: What a beautiful song. I'm
sure you have felt that way at times(and I have too), but nonetheless, Christmas is here and
everywhere in our hearts. It is
Christ's birth. We miss you so much
being a world away, but love you and
are so proud of you. You are always
in our hearts and prayers. I know
you have felt really tired lately,
so I hope you get the rest you need
to feel refreshed. We miss Diana and the kids too, but we know God
is with all of you and us. Our love always and all ways. mom, dad, and david

Hi again. I added this song to the playlist on my blog -- just so family can hear it too ... I had never heard it before, and I like it too! Thanks for sharing it with us, Jes!

This song was originally written and recorded for the live action (Jim Carry) version of "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas".

Little Cindy-Lou Who sings it in the movie. My wife thinks it is the highlight of the show.
